City Physiotherapy offers treatment in the Perth city CBD by physiotherapists highly trained in the needs of CBD workers & city residents.
Our physiotherapists utilize a number of treatment methods including dry needling, manipulation therapy, mobilisation therapy, Mulligan’s & McKenzie techniques, soft tissue manipulation & electrotherapeutic modalities. Our physiotherapists will also structure individual & specific exercise programs to assist your recovery.
Damien Nicolo APAM
Damien graduated from the University of Notre Dame (Fremantle campus) with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and also holds a Bachelor of Science in human biology. Damien has a keen interest in all areas of sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He enjoys treating the wide variety of injuries that both the sporting and workplace environment create and has developed special interests in neck and low back pain.
Damien is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Medicine Australia. Damien has completed training in dry needling (acupuncture) and clinical Pilates, he believes together with manual therapy, exercise and a “can do” attitude these elements provide a well-rounded approach to treatment.
Damien has a keen interest in a wide variety of sports and enjoys keeping active. This has lead to working with several local football and netball teams in the local community. His hobbies include golf, running and mixed martial arts.
Robyn Bailey APAM
Robyn has over 20 years experience in physiotherapy covering Rural and City locations, mainly in Private Practice. Robyn provides Evidence Based Practice and has particular interests in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Ergonomics, Men’s Health and Mentoring undergraduate Physiotherapy students.
Having worked at the Sydney Olympics, Melbourne Commonwealth Games and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games as a Team Physiotherapist, and continuing her involvement with Football Injury Management (AFL code), Robyn enjoys all areas of Sports rehabilitation and has a keen interest in Shoulder Injury Management.
Robyn’s family are her best achievement, she enjoys time with them, keeping fit and walking the dog!! :) Being involved in Community projects is also an important part of Robyn’s life away from Physio
Kate Meurs APAM
Kate graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2001, The University of Western Australia with a Masters of Manual therapy in 2005 and Curtin University with a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management in 2011.
Kate began work at City Physiotherapy March 2003 until October 2006. She has since worked as a physiotherapist in Melbourne, the Gold Coast, USA, Canada and Scotland. While working in private practice in Scotland she also worked as an Occupational Health Physiotherapist under contract to Chevron, the Aberdeen Police and city council and conducting ergonomic assessments throughout Scotland under the UK governments Department of Work and Pensions Access to Work program.
Kate returned to City Physiotherapy in 2016. With her background in manual therapy and occupational health she enjoys treating spinal, musculoskeletal and workplace injuries.
Tony Chamberlain APAM
Tony graduated from Sydney University in 1990 and moved to Perth that same year to enjoy the benefits of the Perth lifestyle. Tony joined City Physiotherapy in 1991 and has worked in the city continually for over 25 years. His areas of interest include neck pain, back pain & sports injuries in particular those relating to endurance events.
Tony's initial interest in the field of endurance events began with his early work in the assessment of running biomechanics & fitness testing. He has pursued this interest in by gaining an advanced level 3 Athletics Australia coaching qualifications in middle & long distance running. Outside his work as a physiotherapist he is an Athletics WA TTP (Target
Talent Program) coach for elite junior distance runners. He also coaches a squad of Perth distance runners which gives him an intimate understanding the requirements of running & distance training.
His own participation in these events culminated in the completion of the Busselton Ironman which has further helped in his quest to deliver the best quality of treatment to endurance athletes.
Tony has also gained coaching qualifications in rugby & has been active in both the rugby & soccer communities for many years.
Tony is a member of the APA, the national manual therapist group & national sports physiotherapy group.
Renata is an experienced massage therapist having worked as a
physiotherapist in Brazil before migrating to Australia & completing a diploma of Massage Therapy.
Renata holds a Diploma Of Remedial Massage Therapy & has many years clinical experience both as a physiotherapist & massage therapist.
Renata has a keen interest in trigger point therapy, sports massage Swedish massage, deep tissue & massage in pregnancy.
Leanne is our main receptionist whose friendly disposition will make you feel welcome and comfortable. She will do her best to answer any questions you may have and find you an appointment that suits your busy schedule.
